Associate Professor & Leading Microbiology Researcher Joins Company’s Product Team
SALT LAKE CITY—November 29, 2016—Sampleminded announces that Betsy Kleba, PhD, has joined the Salt Lake City-based company as its Scientific Officer. The former associate professor from Westminster College will lend her expertise in microbial pathogenesis, immunology, and research to the Product team.

Throughout her career, Dr. Kleba has built relationships that have led to productive collaborations. She is a versatile scientist who has worked on a diverse set of research questions beginning with her time at U.C. Berkeley in the Program of Infectious Diseases and Immunology, throughout her fellowship at the National Institute of Health’s Laboratory of Intracellular Parasites, and as an academic at Westminster College. She has volunteered in several capacities as a scientific and community leader, including serving on the editorial board for Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, and as president of the Intermountain Branch of the American Society of Microbiology. As a sought-after thought leader, Dr. Kleba has delivered numerous presentations and talks across the country.
